{"id":232,"date":"2015-11-25T09:00:43","date_gmt":"2015-11-25T09:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/justinandco.com\/justinsblog\/?p=232"},"modified":"2015-11-23T07:13:37","modified_gmt":"2015-11-23T07:13:37","slug":"easy-seed-grain-loaf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/justinandco.com\/justinsblog\/easy-seed-grain-loaf\/","title":{"rendered":"Easy seed &#038; grain loaf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Its been a long while since I made my last loaf back in the 90&#8217;s when I made all my bread, today I&#8217;m going to rectify that!<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbcgoodfood.com\/recipes\/1872\/easy-seed-and-grain-loaf\">from\u00a0of the BBC good food..<\/a><\/p>\n<p>500g mixed grain flour<br \/>\n1 tbsp each sesame and poppy seeds, plus extra for topping<br \/>\n1 sachet fast-action yeast<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp salt<br \/>\n300ml hand-hot water<br \/>\n2 tbsp olive oil<br \/>\n1 tbsp clear honey<\/p>\n<ol class=\"unstyled\">\n<li class=\"separator separator-solid-grayoffwhite first\">Tip the flour, seeds, yeast and salt into a large bowl. Mix the water, oil and honey in a jug,\u00a0then pour into the dry mix, stirring all the time to make a soft dough. If it feels sticky, sprinkle in a little more flour.<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator separator-solid-grayoffwhite\">Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead\u00a0or 5 mins, until the dough no longer feels sticky<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator separator-solid-grayoffwhite\">Allow to rise for 1 hour.<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator separator-solid-grayoffwhite\">Knead again to Knock back large air bubbles out and put into a 800g loaf tin\n<ol>\n<li class=\"separator separator-solid-grayoffwhite\">Oil a 1.2-litre loaf tin and put the dough in the tin, pressing it in evenly. Cover with a tea towel and leave to rise for 1 hr, until it springs back when you press it with your finger. Heat oven to 200C\/fan 180C\/gas 6.`<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator separator-solid-grayoffwhite last\">Make eight slashes across the top of the loaf, brush with water and sprinkle alternately with poppy and sesame seeds. Bake for 30-35 mins until the loaf is risen and brown.
